AI Future - SIM COG

Developed for and by researchers in the field of artificial intelligence, SIM COG is a software suite comprised of multiple applications, each focused at answering a precise problem in its field of industry.

First, NeuroCode, an architectural software for designing spiking-neuron networks, is a tool allowing the automatic generation of computer code destined to be implanted info a physical robotic device. Its familiar and user-friendly graphical interface makes it easy to use compared to its competitors.

Secondly, NeuroWorld is a virtualisation tool aimed at alleviating the high costs induced by the implementation of real-world robotic devices for testing purposes. To do so, the application was built both as an environment design and simulation tool into which a virtual animat built within NeuroCode can safely evolve.

SIM-COG is being developed under a mandate for IA-FUTUR. While Objectif 8 is doing the conception, the programming and the visual aspect of the softwares, IA-FUTUR provides the logic for the different elements as well as the artificial intelligence.

Momentum (under development)

Concerned about solving the ever-increasing trouble that the billable-hour invoicing system introduces, Momentum was developed with one idea in mind: easily track the time spent on each projects in development.

This turnkey solution, both powerful and user-friendly is divided into two indispensable tools. First, a web interface allows you to manage and track the activites associated with the projects your team is working on, in real-time. Among other things, it assists you into creating your client list, their projects and their associated tasks.

A stand-alone multi-platform application (widget) is also made available for the project team members in order to let them easily and precisely track the time they spend on each and every activities (see figure above).

The system also features a constant synchronization mecanism and an automatic backup service, giving you peace of mind as well as an overall increased productivity for your whole business.

Université du Québec à Montréal - CRSH 5

Developed for a team of students at the Laboratory of Social Psychology (UQAM), the CRSH 5 is an experimentation tool designed to simulate real-world interactions between human beings in awkward contexts. The application makes it look as though the subject were having a conversation with a real person, when in fact all videos are pre-recorded and fed back to the client application through clever reality algorithms.

Both the client and server side applications were developed in-house using Flex and Java.
